Scrap Fish

Little fish plushies made from scraps of fabric and thread I have lying around. I like to do things with my hands when I'm stressed or worried, so I decided to try making one each time I feel overwhelmed and don't know what to do. When I sew, I usually put a lot of energy into making sure my work is up to my standards. These fish are simple to make, though, and I think part of their charm is their jankiness. I started this project January 26th, 2025.

Dragon Armwarmers

Armwarmers crafted using luxury shag faux fur. They are lined with 100% cotton on the inside for comfort. The scales are hand-trimmed. Each pair takes about 5 hours to make. I machine-sew the interior lining before hand-stitching it and the faux fur pieces together. While I could save a lot of time machine-sewing everything, this would create some annoying interior seams that get in the wearer's way. Hand-stitching provides the cleanest results.

Worm

My first-ever plushie. 100% handmade, using my own pattern I made up on a whim. Cute, nonsensical, and very floppy.

I like to keep him on this webpage because even though he sort of sucks, I'm proud of him in a sentimental way.
